In very important news, we've learned that the Yankees double A affiliate will be having a new bat dog for the 2015 season. A bat dog is similar to a bat boy in baseball, yet, instead of a boy, it's a dog. The Trenton Thunder adapted this tradition in 2002 with the bat dog, Chase, whom was a fan favorite and began his own legacy. Chase had a long and wonderful career, retiring in 2013 after 77 years on the job.

After being Chase-less for the 2014 season, the Trenton Thunder signed 'Rookie', who is also Chase's son, to take over his previous duties.

1)I don't frequent Yahoo! news very often; however, I thought this article showed good examples of the different media types. There's a video of 'Rookie' practicing for his new job as the bat dog retriever, as well as an interactive comments section to go along with text, picture and option to share the article on social media.
2)The use of all these different media types works effectively because you're providing the reader with incite on the topic through text, video, to help the reader better understand the new bat dog's skills, as well as a comment section for those who want to talk about the matter.
3)Where I felt this article was strong in providing the different media options, I also thought that it was weak in areas. For example the text was not very informative, there just wasn't much of it, and I felt like the author could have expanded further into Chase, the previous bat dog's legacy a little more. The whole article kind of felt like it was written by someone who didn't really want to write about a bat dog retriever.
