This podcast is for couples planning their wedding. They have conversations with newlyweds and wedding professionals sharing their firsthand experiences. This episode talks about planning a destination wedding, it’s gives you tips and how you can create a vacation that is affordable and unforgettable for you and your guests. As an audience I find it very interesting and helpful since this is something I’m very interested in. As a student I find some things that they can improve.
- This podcast is made well, I like how they talked about one specific person’s situation. I liked how they gave examples on how to budget a destination wedding and they had an expert talking about all the details that go into planning a destination wedding
- I recently got engaged and I am planning a destination wedding and this podcast was very useful because it gave me an idea of how to plan my wedding and all the things I need to keep in mind regarding the location and my guests. Also they gave very great tips on how not to go over the budget when you are doing a destination wedding. I liked how almost at the end they gave the contact information of the expert so that people that need guidance or have questions can contact her
- It was entertaining, but I wished the commentators would’ve been a little more energetic. Being a bride, you are excited and happy so when you hear people talking about wedding planning you kind of want them to sound excited as well. That’s just my opinion. For example, the expert that was talking, her tone of voice was more exciting. You can feel her energy just by the way she talked.
- I would definitely visit this podcast again because the information they provided and the tips for planning a destination wedding were very helpful for me. And I can recommend it to couples that need advise or tips in planning their wedding
Italy’s Decadent Desserts; Respecting the Pasta; Food Markets of Paris
I’m a huge fan of Rick Stevens, when I went to Europe this past summer I watched a few videos of him to get an idea for the best places to visit in the countries that I was going in Europe. I never knew he had a podcast channel. This podcast talks about different countries in Europe and he gives recommendation with experts on where to eat, where to stay and what to visit when you go to Europe. This episode gives great insight on the best desserts that you can find in Italy if you ever visit, it also talks about the proper way to prepare, cook and eat pasta and also a list of few food markets in Paris. as an audience I found this podcast to be great. I’m a huge fan of Rick Stevens because I like traveling and food and that’s what he does all the time. As a student I found this podcast to be very entertaining, well made, long, but very informative and very detailed, which is great for people like me, who are interested in trying new food and traveling.
- This podcast is very well made, I really enjoyed the whole thing. I liked that he had a Italian food expert Fred Plotkin, which gave great information about the Italian desserts that you can find in different cities in Italy. I liked how he named a few of the desserts that you need to try in you ever go to Italy. I like that Rick Stevens had a couple of callers asking for advices on where to eat for people that were planning to going to Italy. The food expert was great, he gave great recommendations on where to go in different cities. He explained how the desserts in the north are very different from the desserts made in the south of Italy. He really explained that Italians take great pride in food. There was also a guide from Sicily that gave us advice how to prepare and eat the pasta, the do’s and don'ts. For example, how we can never break the spaghetti before cooking it, how not to use a spoon and a fork when we eat spaghetti (which is normally how Italian restaurants in the US do it), how you can never break the spaghetti with a knife when you are eating your meal because for Italians it means that you are killing the spaghetti. Rick also talked with a expert in markets of Paris and where to find the best ones and the different kind of food markets found in Paris and the dates that these markets are around.
- I love making desserts and I love to travel so this podcast was very helpful because I learned where to find the best desserts in Italy and also the food expert gave names of books for recipes so people can bake Italian desserts. I also learned a lot more about Italian culture regarding their food and going to restaurants because just like in France they take their time when eating a meal, Italians never push you to eat fast at a restaurant, and how there is a difference between hospitality and service when you go to a restaurant. When you eat a meal in Italy is a wonderful experience and they really make you feel like a guest and very welcomed.
- This podcast was very entertaining. I liked that they had callers asking questions to the experts and I also loved how they played music between each caller. And also played some Italian music and the end. Even though it was very long, I was not bored at all. I was very interested about what they were talking about the whole time.
- Like I said before I’m a huge fan of Rick Stevens so this podcast is definitely something that I would visit again. For any trips I plan in the future for Europe, I will make sure I listen to a few so that I can go to the best places for food and also to understand the culture of each country better. I’ve seen videos of him and bought books and they’ve been very helpful so listening to this podcast will be another great option for me.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills AfterBuzz TV AfterShow Episode 18
This is a weekly podcast that discusses the weekly episode of the real housewives of beverly hills. They usually have three commentators talking about what happened in the episode. For me, personally I enjoyed this podcast only because I am big fan of this specific show. I just find it funny all the drama that happens there. This episode talked about the fights that happened with the ladies at the show when they went to Amsterdam. As an audience I found it entertaining only if I have a lot of time in my hands. As a student, I think there a few things that I would add to make it more original and interesting.
- This podcast is ok made, but only for the people who watch, and enjoy the show. I like how each one of the commentator has their own opinion and they really talk about each details of each episode. It’s interesting how each one has a different perspective on the show and each one has their own favorite cast member. I wish they interviewed viewers and maybe some of the cast members each week and talk to them about what happened in that episode.
- I find this podcast not to be useful. This is only for the people who like these types of reality shows but other than that they pretty much do what I do with my friends after we watched the show. Just normal girls talking about the episode. There’s really noting educational about this podcast. There’s nothing original about this.
- I do find entertaining because it reminded me of the conversations I have with my friends who watched the show. They make fun of the drama between the housewives. The only thing I would like to change is that sometimes the girls that are talking about the show tend to interrupt each other and sometimes it’s difficult to keep track of who’s saying what. So it’s a little distracting
- I will not be visiting this podcast anytime soon. I don’t find it very unique, like I said that’s something I can do with my friends. Also, everything they talk about is on the episode and you can watch it yourself on TV.
Great job - see Blackboard for your grade.
